Ghias is a human rights advocate currently based in London. He has more than twenty years of experience of working on the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) for national and international organisations specialising in human rights and freedom of expression.  These include PEN International, Article 19, Institute for War and Peace Reporting (IWPR), International Freedom of Expression Exchange (IFEX) and Amnesty International. He is highly experienced in conducting research and analysing information.

 

Ghias also has expertise in training and capacity-building for NGOs and human rights advocates across the region.  He has developed and facilitated workshops in project development, monitoring and evaluation, communications and funding, as well as providing consultancy services to individual organisations.

 

Fluent in Arabic and English, Ghias is able to forge new relationships and build trust quickly, and he has a wide network of contacts across the region.
